Living in a world full of social media we get caught up in the web of posting, liking, following and wanting to get likes, follows and subscribers. And although Social Media is a powerful tool to grow your business, make sure you manage it correctly. If you spend at minimum 30 minutes a day on Social Media (which is more than likely more!) in an entire month that adds up to 15 hours a month. That equals to pretty much two days worth of work!
What can you do with 15 hours of time elsewhere? Market your business, spend time with family and friends and even serve your community!
A solution to using Social Media wisely is using a Social Media Management Tool such as Buffer or Hootsuite. Why? You can post to all of your social media content across all of your platforms without having to be in the platforms themselves and therefore not get caught up in the dreaded web!
Have you ever been in a meeting and when you walked out you didn’t know what the meeting was about? Was it perhaps because your mind was caught up in a texting conversation you had prior to the meeting? Or perhaps from time to time glancing at your phone to check if you’ve received a text message or emails?
Toss your phone to the side and focus on what’s happening in front of you, you will notice there is an immense amount of substance in your day to day life and it will make you stronger for knowing it. Limit the use of your cell phone, a solution is to provide your clients your business number so you don’t have to be checking your personal phone to see if they’re reaching out to you. Understand your phone is a distraction if it isn’t being used for the growth of your business or life.
Have you ever heard the saying “Show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are.”.
